Cutting Board

Last night we went over to a Taehoo's house to have dinner and say goodbye. (You may recall that Taehoo visited us in Montana last summer). At any rate, Taehoo, being the man of many talents that he is, has taken up wood working, and he presented us with this very fine going away present: a hand-crafted cutting board!

It is simply stunning - the woods, from the outside in to the center, are: Wenge, Cherry, Cocobolo, Purple Heart, Black Walnut, Curly Maple, and Bubinga. It's absolutely stunning - the picture doesn't really do us justice. It was kind of funny last night - Micah and I both sat there and simply drolled over the wood for a good half hour or so, eventually deciding that we want to try and make a chess board this summer. So we'll see. In the meantime, I just wanted to share this fine picture of Taehoo's craftsmanship! Thanks Taehoo!
