Pray for Bridger
For those of you who followed Ryan and Rachel's journey through the loss of little Joshua last summer, we have another prayer request: Bridger (above) had his two year check up today and the doctors discovered something that concerned them - it seems like Bridger has a heart murmor and arrhythmia (skipping beats).
This has the potential to be very serious, and they will need to go see a heart specialist ASAP.
Please pray also for Bridger, that he would be ok, that this will be something the doctors can fix or at least control. And please pray for Ryan and Rachel in this, as they struggle to rest in God while waiting for a more detailed diagnosis. Finally, pray for those of us who are their friends, that we would know how to love them well in this difficult situation.
I'll post more as soon as we know it.

We shall start praying as of tonight. Is this something we should pass on through the GVPC prayer chain?
Praying here.
Good news! Just wanted to let you know that Ryan called me this afternoon. They were able to get in to see a heart specialist today on very short notice, and his evaluation was very positive. Bridger does have a heart murmur, but evidently it is of the more "normal" kind; same thing with the arrhythmia - neither one is a serious condition. Obviously, they are extremely relieved.
It's always encouraging to receive good news; likewise, it's always a good reminder to realize just how much we take life and health for granted - especially for our kids. So thank you all for praying, and thank God for his goodness.
If you want to know more, keep your eyes on Ryan & Rachel's blog - I expect they will post a comment there shortly.
