Malachi's First Deer

Hey folks!

This is one of those proud parent moments...This is Malachi's first deer, taken Nov 20, 2004 in the Crazy Mountains (MT) - Single shot kill, 100 yards, on the run, with the pre-64 Winchester Model 70 30-06 that he inherited from his great grandfather Don Cryder. My dad (the one next to him) helped me shoot my first deer when I was twelve years old too, 23 years before this picture was taken (almost to the day). This is a special little glimpse into part of what it means to be a Montanan...hope you enjoy it!

Love the shot (no pun) of Malachai and friends. Oddly enough, they all look happy. Say cheese!

Hey, if you feel like you need to thaw out, come visit us in Phoenix! We'd love to catch up with you and have you visit our church. (A reformed church with contemporary music, awesome teaching, and way too many people! Usually reformed theology scares off people, but not here! We have two satelite churches, one of which is Spanish speaking...)

Take care!
